*Please note: gun rental, range fees and ammo are not included in the price of the course.
Step 3: Complete and Submit A LTC Application. You must submit a License To Carry (LTC) application to the DPS. You may apply online or download a PDF copy of the application from the DPS (LTC) website (https://www.texasonline.state.tx.us/txapp/txdps/ltc/) and submit it in person, by fax or via U.S. mail.
Step 4: Schedule a Fingerprint Appointment. After completing a LTC application online, you will be given the option to schedule a fingerprint appointment immediately online. You can also visit the MorphoTrust USA website directly to schedule an appointment, but you must complete your LTC application first.
Step 5: Upon successful completion of a LTC class, you will be issued a Class Completion form that can be submitted to the DPS to complete your application process and obtain your LTC. Your Class Completion Certificate is valid for two years after your LTC class.
